MAKE••• A Fresh Sprig Brooch!
Be sure to wear some flowers.
This brooch spins up quick, and holds just enough water to keep a few stems looking good all day / eve.
COLLECT
••• brooch pin back
••• leather cord (appx four feet)
••• test tube
••• scissors
••• flowers
••• leaves
Process

1. Hold your leather cord against the test tube, so the short end extends down to about the bottom of the tube.

2. Start wrapping the cord about a half-inch from the top, and around the back of the test tube;

3. and when you come around to the front, bring the cord just beneath the loop you made.

4. Keep wrapping, with each successive round beneath the last, until you’ve got about three taut loops. The loose end of the leather cord should still be under your thumb, heading down towards the bottom of the tube.

5. Position the (fully open!) brooch along the right side of the leather cord, with the clasp aligned with your loops, and the pin facing down.

6. Wrap the cord around again, and this time bring it just beneath the brooch clasp. Keep it taut.

7. Continue wrapping until you reach the pin.

8. Tie a half knot to the left of the pin.

9. Tie one more tight knot!

10. Dunzo! Snip the ends of the leather cord as long as you’d like.
